SuperBabyFaith is Moving!

It is a bittersweet time for our family as we are preparing to move back to St. Louis. Mike has accepted a job that will provide our family with more financial support and stability. All of our family is there as well and we need the support from our family right now. I have resigned from my teaching position to focus on Faith. I will be able to get her to all of her appointments and care for her. I hope to be able to return to the education field at some point, but right now Faith is my priority.
Mike and I are heartbroken to leave some of the most incredible people we know and love. We are so blessed to have such great friends here in Texas. I had the pleasure of working with the most hard-working and dedicated staff in the world here at Manor New Tech High School. My school staff has showed us so much love and support. My teaching experience at a New Tech, project-based school has been so rejuvenating and rewarding. We are also leaving behind an awesome church family. The Connection Church has helped us through some very tough times and reached out to us in so many ways. We are going to miss you all in Texas!
On a positive note, we are moving back to great family and friends in St. Louis! We are excited to be able to be home for the holidays! Please pray for us as we travel and for Faith as she starts her new life in St. Louis with new doctors and specialists.

I work with the Children’s Program for the Division for Blind Services here in Texas and I wanted to send you this URl http://www.dss.mo.gov/fsd/rsb/cs.htm. This is for the same kind of program in MO. I wish you the best of luck in your move.
Ironically, I have a child on my caseload in the Kyle area who also has microphthalmia. I sent them the link on Faith’s story in hope that they might make contact with you. Would you be interested in that?

Your daughter is so beautiful. I read your story and would love for you to contact me. My daughter was born January 6, 2009. My mother passed away suddenly last December so Donna-Lynn was born 2 months early. I named her after my mother Donna. She was born with mocropthalmia in both eyes. Her eyes are 1/3 the size they should be. She was fit with conformers back in March and now has prosthetioc eyes. In July they found corneas starting to develop. I could go on and on…please contact me. I really would love to talk to someone going through the same thing. I have to say you both have a wonder attitude about all of this. I am the same. I believe god gave this little girl to me because he knew I would be the best for her. She has made me such a strong person and has helped me make it through the tragedy of losing my mother. I just wish my mom were here to meet her only granddaughter. She is watching over us and keeping Donna-Lynn safe.
